During your path you have weekly sessions with your mentor. On top of these sessions, you have assessments.
An assessment is a special type of session during which you present your final work on your project to an assessor. Your work is validated during this session.
In general, an assessment consists of a role play with the assessor, so you need to present your work like you would to a client (played by the assessor). They may ask you questions on your projects and its implementation, and you need to answer these questions like you would in a professional setting.
To prepare for an assessment, you mentor guides you by working on the following elements:
- Project presentation
- Professional attitude and posture
- Concept explanation
- Answers to technical questions
You need to be able to explain your technical decisions and present your project in an intelligible manner (with a PowerPoint presentation for instance). Your mentor will help you prepare for the assessment during your sessions, and may do a mock assessment with you.
You might not validate your project on the first try, and that’s alright. The assessor will give you a list of things you need to work on in order to validate your project. You’ll find more information on how to schedule an assessment in this article.
We also have a detailed article on how the assessment session and its recording go.
