The jury is the final step of your Program.
The role of the Evaluator is to be objective and impartial, and to check the competencies acquired by each of the candidates, in order to permit the delivery of your diploma (or certificate).
Precisely, the jury will examine in detail your complete list of deliverables as well as your assessments, then they will confirm that the competencies that you have demonstrated meet the level required for the diploma.
The decision of the Jury is sovereign, which means this cannot be challenged.

When will I be admitted to the Jury?
Once your Program has finished, you are automatically admitted to the waiting list for the Jury. During this time, our teams take time to examine your file in order to verify that it is complete. If your file is not complete, we will come back to you via email in order to ask for the deliverables that seem to be missing. If your file is complete, you will be directly admitted to the next session of the Jury for your specific Path.
How often is the Jury?
The frequency of juries depends on several factors including: The paths, the minimum number of students required, the dates that are agreed up with the partner in case additional students need to be admitted.
We do our best to maximise the organisation of the juries frequently.
Please take a look at this spreadsheet to know the frequency of your specific jury.
How is the Jury carried out? (How does it work?)
From one month to three months before the date of the planned Jury session, our teams transfer your file (composed of your deliverables, realised assessments, your assessment recordings) to the members of the jury so that they can study ahead of time.
In accordance with your Path, the Jury will be carried out:
- at a distance (if an OpenClassrooms Path)
- on site of the Partner (if a partnership Path)
Please consult this spreadsheet to know the different modalities of your specific jury.
Who is in charge of each part of the Jury?
The members of the jury have a variety of backgrounds related to different paths at OpenClassrooms.
The jury is made up of:
- President of the Jury
- 1 or several experts in this specific sector
- The Head of Track for each Path
- Several representatives of the partner school (when the diploma is associated with a academic partner)
The members of the jury can change from one session to another.
When will I receive the Jury results?
For the general rule, the members of the Jury make their decisions the same day or just a few days after the Jury session. Please note that for certain juries, it is necessary to have multiple weeks, depending on the complexity of the course. We do our best to reduce the amount of delays. You will receive your results by email.
Please consult the table (or spreadsheet) below to know the average delay of results in regard to your specific Path.
What will happen if the Jury does not validate my Path?
If the Jury does not validate your diploma, our teams will warn you by email.
Do not panic! The members of the jury will give you clear and precise instructions in order to complete a project or deliverable that was caught, and marked incomplete during the Jury process. The goal is to allow you to develop the competencies not acquired/or mastered in order to deliver your diploma.
You can take as much time as necessary to finish the deliverable that is holding up your diploma. Once it is ready, the members of the jury will examine it during the next available Jury session.
When will I receive my diploma?
Depending on which Path you have taken, your diploma will be sent between 2-4 months after the jury sessions.
All International Paths will now receive a PDF copy of their OpenClassrooms diploma.
However, please if you are enrolled in a partnership path, this could take up to 6 months to receive your diploma.
Frequently Asked Question about the Jury and Diplomas
I am financing my program with OpenClassrooms. Do I need to continue to pay while waiting for the the Jury?
It is not necessary to be enrolled as a Premium Member while waiting for the Jury, because this can take upwards of 2 to 3 months after the last assessment, to pass the Jury. Please note, one your last project is validated, your Premium will automatically end.
However, there is a Coaching Path that is offered as part of your Path, and you will be automatically moved onto this Path, once your last project is validated.
Do I need to be available for the Jury date?
No, you do not need to be present on the date of your Jury. You will not be needed to answer questions, to to assist during the video conference. This is handled completely by the Jury members.
I have not received the results and I have not received my diploma.
Please note that this is just an average delay, and sometimes the Jury takes longer than expected.
Do not worry, the results and your diploma will happen. At the same time, if you do not have news one month after the average delay date, do not hesitate to contact Student Support in order for them to verify your specific situation. Please email us through this page.
Is there a graduation ceremony?
